Welcome to Calvary Christian Academy Athletics. The 2007-2008 school year has been one of the most successful for the athletic department. 2007 was the inaugural year for soccer here at CCA. Our co-ed varsity squad was made up of players from 8th grade through 12th grade and they played together very well. We played in the Albuquerque Charter School League and for it being our first year, we were pretty successful. We’ll be preparing for next year soon, so if you are interested in soccer and you will be in 8th grade and above, contact Coach Garcia at CCA.

The boys and girls varsity basketball teams did very well this year. We participated in the Albuquerque Charter School League and the New Mexico Christian Athletic Association. The ACSL league is a primer for our NMCAA schedule. The “Lady Knights” placed 2nd in the ACSL Tournament and the “Knights” placed 1st in the tournament. The two teams have really come along way since last year and that is the fruit of hard work from both the coaches and the players. In the NMCAA, both the “Lady Knights” and the “Knights” are District Champions in the South Division. The “Lady Knights” placed 4th in the NMCAA State Tournament and the “Knights” placed 3rd. Basketball season is always exciting and we’re always looking for players, boosters and sponsors. If you’re interested, please contact Coach Garcia at the school.

One sport that always seems to do well and receive the least recognition is the boys' JV basketball team. Last year, 2006-2007, they placed 1st in the Albuquerque Christian Athletic Association going undefeated in league and tournament play. This season, the JV has only lost one game for a record of 9 and 1 with one game left and the tournament coming up in April.

CCA is always looking for motivated and dedicated athletes and coaches. If you are interested in playing sports for CCA, or coaching either as a head coach or as an assistant coach, please contact Coach Garcia at the school.
